Headed out at 5:45am… it′s almost 8:30pm and we are chilling in our hotel… the Microtel in Lexington Kentucky… watching bad tv after having a fine dinner… takeout from the Bob Evans retaurant. Sipping on a Kentucky ale… brewed at a local mico-brewery… and purchased at the Shell on the corner.
We′ve pretty much just been driving all day… got up to 75°F so we had the top down…. Before that we crossed the border near Sarnia… the guard wanted to know our relationship and asked a few questions… visions of “cavity search” were dancing in my head…
Blaring bagpipe music with the top down… David smoking a cigar… I sipped at my flask… then we arrived at our hotel and turned down the wrong street so we thought this was the hotel David had booked on the internet…
Anyway…. hopefully like I said we′re resting up for an early start tomorrow… we′ll be in Atlanta tomorrow afternoon… a nap and then hitting the bars and listening to some excellent music!!!!!!
