Here’s a new piece. Process driven. I started with the music and pulled a recent bit of writing out of my journal to pair with it.
To stay “on schedule” I decided to utilize some found (public domain) video. The thought was to pair a video that I (sort of) chose randomly – and played (again fairly randomly) with the speed of the visuals to match the tempo and feel of the music. My hope was that the resulting images/lyric/music blend would create a new layer of meaning… I think the piece was successful. Hope you think so too…
